When does your chain kit need replacing?
- You need to adjust the chain more and more often.
- The chain has stiff links or rust that won't go away.
- The teeth of the rear sprocket are pointed or worn crooked (hooked teeth).
- You hear the chain rattle or feel jerks when you open or close the throttle.
- At the back of the sprocket you can pull the chain away from the teeth quite a bit.
Why as a set?
A new chain on worn sprockets, or the other way round, wears much faster. By replacing the chain, front sprocket and rear sprocket together, they fit each other well and you get the most kilometres out of your set.
Tip: lube and adjust
A clean, well-lubricated chain with the right slack lasts longest. Lube it regularly, especially after a ride in the rain, and check the tension according to your bike's owner's manual.
Price
Replacing a chain kit costs from €150 incl. VAT with us. The price depends on your bike and the kit. Message us your make, model and year, and you'll get a price for your bike.
We help riders from Waalwijk and the region, up to about 50 km from the workshop: from Sprang-Capelle, Kaatsheuvel and Drunen to Tilburg, 's-Hertogenbosch, Oosterhout and Breda.
