Bike won't start?
You press the starter and nothing happens, or it turns over but won't fire. Often it's something small.
Service interval Interval according to your owner's manual, we check it for you.
Check these first yourself
- Is the kill switch in the run position?
- Is the bike in neutral, or are you pulling the clutch in?
- Is the side stand up? Many bikes won't start in gear with the side stand down.
- Is there enough fuel in the tank?
- Do the dashboard lights glow weakly or does it only click when starting? Then the battery is probably flat.
Possible causes
After standing still over winter, a flat or old battery is the most common cause. But a bad connection, a faulty starter motor or starter relay, a switch that doesn't pass the signal on properly, or a problem with fuel or ignition can also be the culprit.
What we do
