Motorcycle leaking oil or fuel: what now?
Do you see a spot under your motorcycle? Oil is brown or black and feels greasy, fuel smells strongly and evaporates quickly. If there is oil on your tyre or brakes, or fuel is leaking, stop riding. Send us a photo; we find the leak in Waalwijk. Labour costs €75 per hour incl. VAT.

Is it oil or fuel?
You smell fuel straight away and it evaporates quickly. Oil stays, feels greasy and is usually brown to black. Coolant is often coloured and smells sweet. Put a piece of cardboard under your motorcycle, then you see where it drips.
What do you do first?
If fuel is leaking, don't ride and don't smoke nearby: fire risk. If there is oil on your tyre, brake disc or pads, don't keep riding either. Message us a photo and we tell you honestly whether you can still ride to us.
Where can oil come from?
- A leaking gasket, for example the valve cover gasket.
- A seal, such as on the forks or the drive.
- A loose or damaged drain plug or oil filter.
- An oil hose or connection that no longer seals properly.
Leaking forks? See fork seals, from €350 incl. VAT.
Where can fuel come from?
- A carburettor that overflows after standing still, for example because a float or needle sticks.
- A fuel hose that has dried out or cracked.
- A leaking fuel tap or tank seal.
What do we do?
